We believe that providing elective 3D/4D prenatal ultrasound can be a great way for parents and family members to connect with the unborn baby. Seeing realistic surface images can create a special bond that benefits the entire family. It's important to note this ultrasound is not intended to better assess the baby for abnormalities. A routine ultrasound examination should have already been performed to evaluate fetal anomalies and the basic components of fetal anatomy.
Please be advised that Cloud Nine 4D only offers elective prenatal ultrasound to women who are already receiving prenatal care from a healthcare provider. Additionally, these patients must have already undergone a diagnostic ultrasound ordered by their provider. The elective prenatal ultrasound session is limited only to confirm the heartbeat, the number of babies in the pregnancy, the position of the baby, and the placental location. It's essential to keep in mind that this examination is not a substitute for a comprehensive diagnostic ultrasound.
After extensive research spanning over 30 years, no evidence has been found that ultrasound scanning poses any harm to the mother or the developing baby. In fact, routine scanning of all pregnancies has become a common practice across the United States. Both 3D/4D and conventional 2D ultrasound scans use the same type and intensity of ultrasound, as sound waves penetrate the body to create images. This technology resembles radar, where a probe sends sound waves into the body, listens for their return echo, and produces an image. In terms of exposure, 4D ultrasound scanning is similar to a traditional scan.
Yes, appointments are necessary for all of our services. Please call our office and leave a voicemail if you would like a same-day appointment. We will do our best to accommodate you if our schedule allows.
The duration of a 4D ultrasound session varies based on the chosen session. Sessions range from 10 to 25 minutes.
For a single 4D ultrasound, it's best to schedule it between the 29th through 32nd week of pregnancy. However, you can get clear images of your baby after 22 weeks and up to 36 weeks of pregnancy, and many mothers choose to have multiple ultrasounds during their second and third trimesters.
When it comes to ultrasound scans, there's no guarantee that the images produced will always meet your expectations. For example, if the baby is persistently looking face down (towards your spine), it may be difficult to see their face. However, we can usually resolve this by scheduling a repeat scan when the baby has turned to a more favorable position. It's important to note that every baby scans differently, depending on factors such as gestation age, position, amount of fluid, and the mother's condition. Rest assured, we will do everything in our power to obtain the best possible images of the baby's visible parts. Please keep in mind that the images may not be identical to those from other clinics or other clients. Each session is tailored towards each individual client.

Yes, in most cases we can provide an indication of the sex of the baby. We can’t however guarantee that the baby will cooperate during your session. Certain factors such as body tissue content, developmental stage, and fetal position all affect the ability to determine sex.

We guarantee we will give you the best possible images we can obtain, and our main goal is viewing fetal movement in the womb. Baby is the star of the show, and we are the audience. Many factors determine the outcome, i.e. fetal position, fluid level, gestational age, body composition, and those factors determine the clarity and number of images we can obtain. Refunds will not be given for low fluid. Drinking 64-100oz of water daily for a week help prevent low fluid.
Payments for the session covers session time, use of the equipment, employee pay, and other charges related to the service you are receiving. Our goal is to give you and your family a memorable, comfortable, special bonding experience with your unborn baby in the womb and we will do our best to provide you with the best possible outcome you desire. We do have a $59 minimum charge to cover for all scans regardless of images or gender determination. Any rescan and cost associated with the rescan will be at the ultrasound technician's discretion and payable by the customer.
